So I couldn't put these in my 'link' section...

Multi-genre Biography Project
Assignment Objective:  You will be presenting information about the life and accomplishments of an individual using different genre.

Genre = a category of artistic, musical, or literary composition characterized by a particular style, form, or content

What you need to do: (a chronologically-ordered checklist… )
1.      Find and read a biography or autobiography based on a famous person who lived a full and interesting life.
2.      Find (and copy/print) TWO other sources of information about the person.  These may be:
·         Newspaper articles
·         Magazine articles
·         Essays
·         Interviews
·         Photos
·         Videos
·         T.V. excerpts
3.      Highlight the most important and relevant information from these sources.  You will include these highlighted copies/printouts in your final project.
4.
Create a works cited page using MLA format.  Use the tools under “references => Bibliography => Works Cited” in Microsoft Word.  Mrs. Lee will also have copies of page 392 of The Write Source for further information.
Example:
Works Cited
Elvis Presley: Official Website. 31 March 2009 .
Plath, Sylvia. The Collected Poems. London: Harper & Rowe, 1981.
Skaggs, Austin. "John Lennon: A Rememberance." Rolling Stone Magazine May 2008: 99-104.

5.      You will present biographical information (accomplishments, major life events, contributions to society, etc.) using four (4) different genre.  These creations need to be 100% ORIGINAL and MADE BY YOU—however, they also need to include the information you gathered through your research and reading.
